October 30, 2006. On 27 October the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in the case of Bazorkina v Russia became final. The State now has three months, or until 27th January 2007, to award the applicant, Fatima Bazorkina, the pecuniary and non-pecunairy damages and costs designated to her as just satisfaction. Russia held responsible for summary execution of five
October 12, 2006. The European Court of Human Rights today held Russia responsible for the summary execution of five members of the Estamirov family in Chechnya in February 2000, Stichting Russian Justice Initiative said. At least eleven other incidents of summary executions committed on the same day in the same region of Chechnya are pending before the Court. Read more...
 
Summary execution of five family-members in Chechnya to be decided by Court
October 6, 2006. The European Court of Human Rights will on 12 October 2006 deliver its judgment in a case concerning the summary execution of five family members in Chechnya. The case, Estamirov v.
