Court to issue ruling in first Chechen disappearance and murder of a woman
November 8, 2006. The European Court of Human Rights will rule on the first case regarding the disappearance and murder of a woman in Chechnya on 9 November 2006. October 30, 2006. On 27 October the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in the case of Bazorkina v Russia became final. The State now has three months, or until 27th January 2007, to award the applicant, Fatima Bazorkina, the pecuniary and non-pecunairy damages and costs designated to her as just satisfaction. Russia held responsible for summary execution of five
October 12, 2006. The European Court of Human Rights today held Russia responsible for the summary execution of five members of the Estamirov family in Chechnya in February 2000, Stichting Russian Justice Initiative said.
