October 30, 2006. On 27 October the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in the case of Bazorkina v Russia became final. The State now has three months, or until 27th January 2007, to award the applicant, Fatima Bazorkina, the pecuniary and non-pecunairy damages and costs designated to her as just satisfaction. The European Court of Human Rights today held Russia responsible for the summary execution of five members of the Estamirov family in Chechnya in February 2000, Stichting Russian Justice Initiative said. February 16, 2006. On March 24-26, 2006, the Stitching Russian Justice Initiative hosted the 2nd Training Workshop on European Court of Human Rights Litigation. The workshop was attended by lawyer and human rights defenders from the Republics of the Northern Caucasus who are involved in criminal law practice and interested in bringing cases before the ECtHR.
