SJI made a submission to the Committee of Ministers on the Khanamirova v Russia group of cases
On 20 April 2020 SJI made a submission to the Committee of Ministers on the Khanamirova v Russia group of cases, which concerns the non-enforcement of custody decisions in favor of the applicants, in violation of their right to family life. The submission sets out the execution of individual measures by Russia in three cases handed down by the European Court between April 2018 and October 2019, analyzes shortcomings in legal remedies which perpetuate the problem on the national level, and makes recommendations regarding the adoption of general measures.
